The Tarmac is our hand made Quarter Top sneaker. It is laid back yet elegant, with subtle branding and discrete colorways - making it the perfect everyday sneaker. This is a shoe that will work as well in the office as on the day off; out at night or on a trip to the beach.

The Tarmac is constructed around a narrow last for elegance and stance. It is slightly higher than a low top, and slightly lower than a mid top; we call it a Quarter Top. The name Tarmac comes from our love for racing and travelling, and because it is a platform product for us.

The Tarmac's inner soles have arch support and several layers of cushioning. To ensure further support and stability, it has a metal shank, normally only found in fine dress shoes. Only the finest materials are used; from the suede and nubuck of the upper and the smooth calf leather of the inner lining, stitched to an outsole made of natural rubber. All materials are sourced in Italy and Portugal.

The Tarmac is designed by us in Sweden and manufactured in a small, carefully selected factory in Portugal. Approximately 80 per cent of the production is finished by hand by skilled craftsmen, giving each product a unique look and feel. We personally spend a great deal of time in the factory with the people who are crafting our products, to ensure the highest possible quality and finish.

All Coloquy sneakers are delivered with two pairs of laces and a custom tote bag. In addition, they are accompanied by a small notebook to document the memorable moments, thoughts, ideas and conversations we hope owners will encounter on their walkabouts.

About us

Coloquy offers products of the highest quality, starting with a hand made sneaker.

Coloquy was born from a passion for great design, sneakers and going your own way. Our first product is a hand made sneaker, designed entirely by us and crafted without compromise.

Coloquy's products are currently available exclusively on Coloquy.com and in our showroom. This approach enables us to offer new products quicker and more often, at great value, worldwide.

Our editorial section, Conversations, features interviews with individuals we admire; people doing the right things, the right way and for all the right reasons. Conversations is a way of communicating what we stand for and is a base for inspiration, discovery and new ideas.

Coloquy was founded in 2013 by Adam Lewenhaupt and Nicholas Bonde, and is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

How we sell

We create products without compromise and offer them to our customers at great value

Our products are available on Coloquy.com, as well as through our showroom and temporary stores, and no more than a few selected retailers. This approach, making full use of available technology, enables us to create products without compromise, using the best craftsmen and materials, and offer them to our customers at great value. It also enables us to offer new products quicker and more often, regardless of season, worldwide.

Coloquy is not about selling cheap products, but the best products at the best value. If we were our own customers - this is the way we would have wanted it to be.
